So here I am back again writing and blogging for Game 2 starting today. The San Antonio Spurs steal Game 1 in Miami, winning it 92-88 on Tony Parker’s shot with 5 seconds left. I didn’t get a chance to watch all of Game 1, because I was dead tired and had to sleep. Kudos to the Spurs for winning Game 1 in Miami. Both teams played an excellent game and they were evenly matched. The winner of Game 1s in the NBA Finals usually goes on to win the NBA Finals about 90% of the time. Now, Game 2 lies in Miami’s hands and they must respond with a resounding victory. What Miami must do to win is let Lebron James and Dwyane Wade play speed defense to trigger their fast break of James and Wade. What San Antonio did to win Game 1 was not letting James have his way with the Spurs. The Spurs also ran screens for Tony Parker so he could find his way in the paint. The Spurs played excellent defense on James in Game 1. Can San Antonio contain Miami for a second game?
