NBA All-Star Game 2015 in New York City

The Eastern Conference reserve stars consists of Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Jimmy Butler, Al Horford, Kyrie Irving, Paul Millsap, and Jeff Teague. This is Butler’s first time being here and also Teague’s. Russell Westbrook, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan, and LaMarcus Aldridge headline the Western Conference reserves. This is Klay Thompson’s and DeMarcus Cousin’s first All-Star game. I expect this all-star game to be full of dunks and thrills.

NBA Playoff Thoughts #7

Another day in the office for the Chicago Bulls. A 77-69 win over Philadelphia trimmed the Sixers series lead to 3-2. Luol Deng had 24 points and Carlos Boozer had 19. The Bulls are trying to starve off elimination after losing Derrick Rose to a torn ACL and Joakim Noah to a left ankle sprain. This is a good way to do it. Chicago led the game for four quarters and hung on to win Game 5. Of all the playoff games played today, only Indiana finished its series, winning their matchup with Orlando 4-1. Indiana won 105-87. Atlanta tried to stay alive after elimination by beating the Boston Celtics 87-86. Hawks center Al Horford is back and he helped the Hawks tremendously down the stretch. The Nuggets played their best basketball of the season after hearing Lakers center Andrew Bynum say that closeout games are easy to finish. Some motivational tactic there for the Nuggets to come out swinging and play their brand of basketball. They beat the Los Angeles Lakers 102-99 and are behind 3-2, still a game away from elimination. Exciting games to watch in the first round. What to make of it? I hope the Lakers and the Celtics will be able to close out their first round playoff series. The Bulls are down, but they are not out yet.
