So the Golden State Warriors have a date with the Cleveland Cavaliers again. These two teams have been dominant since the first round of the 2017 NBA Playoffs. A lot of the pressure Kevin Durant is facing is returning back to the NBA Finals where he’s lost in 2013. Durant is facing pressure, because he has to perform at a high level to get an NBA ring. Will he be able to get an NBA ring? That’s what we’ll find out once the NBA Finals start. Lebron James is looking forward to another NBA championship and no one in the NBA has the answer in stopping him. Will Lebron James be able to maintain another NBA title? We’ll find out.
The Boston Celtics have home-court advantage throughout these NBA playoff games, but yet have shown that they can play with the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers. The San Antonio Spurs are good for an old-fashioned two points and just-put-up-a-basket basketball philosophy has them playing the up-tempo Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are 2-0 in their series against the Spurs and San Antonio doesn’t have the basketball personnel to play these Stephen Curry-led basketball team. What will the Spurs do if they can’t get back Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker, their two valued starters? The Spurs relied on Leonard having the basketball to dominate the ball game and the Spurs won’t play like a team until they realize they have to make shots in order to beat the Warriors. Boston won’t defeat Cleveland, because they don’t have a superstar like Lebron James who has unmatched athleticism.
Deron Williams signed to play with Lebron James and traded for Kyle Korver from Atlanta. The question is, will they play better with two new acquisitions? Only thirty games left into the NBA regular season and we have yet seen stand out games from Korver or Williams.
It is the new year and All-Star weekend is approaching in New Orleans moved from Charlotte. I am excited to see these NBA stars such as LeBron James, Giannis Antetokuonmpo, Anthony Davis, and Stephen Curry starting in the 2017 All-Star Game. I’d like to see a fantastic showcase featuring these basketball players on February 19, 2017.
What direction is the National Basketball Association going in the near future? You have to admit, things aren’t the same since the one and only Michael Jordan retired. You have to consider that lots of basketball stars are trying to get there with Jordan did with his six championship rings. Lebron James is trying to build up his legacy, but for how long? His jump shot isn’t as consistent or as percentage-heavy driven as Michael Jordan’s was. When I say percentage-heavy driven, I mean that Jordan shot the basketball at a high percentage and he relied on a fadeaway jumper and a jump shot as he got older. Lebron James doesn’t really have a reliable jump shot and he relies on his athleticism, especially his jumping ability to get him through the victory on the basketball court. There is no one who saw the game as gifted as Michael Jordan was.
Rajon Rondo signed a 2-year, $28 million deal to play with the Chicago Bulls. Will he be able to mesh with Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg and his teammates? Rondo will be playing with newly acquired Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler, who will be sliding to the small forward position. Everybody is moving around in the NBA, in search for an for NBA title. Will Kevin Durant help Golden State make back-to-back-to back NBA Finals appearances? Will Lebron James get Cleveland another NBA title? Time will tell.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are 2016 NBA Champions and they did it by beating the Golden State Warriors 4 games to 3 on June 19. Lebron James is the four-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. The Cavs had grit and the Golden State Warriors did not. That is the key ingredient to who wins the NBA Finals.
Derrick Rose has been traded to the New York Knicks recently today. What becomes of the deal that has been made?
