General NBA Updates

Jameer Nelson signed with Dallas Mavericks. Orlando got rid of him, so expect Nelson to have a role in Dallas with Dirk Nowitzki. The Magic are rebuilding and there are lots of players who aren’t stars playing in Orlando now.

The Lakers hired Byron Scott as their head coach after Los Angeles had stints with Mike D’Antoni and Mike Brown. Jeremy Lin signed with the Lakers, so expect a Kobe Bryant-Jeremy Lin backcourt duo.

Mo Williams signed to play with the Minnesota Timberwolves. I don’t know why that happened.

There isn’t any general NBA updates to say, although it’s unclear to say where Kevin Love will end up. Cleveland wants to trade Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota so Kevin Love can play with Lebron James.

Carmelo Anthony staying in New York/Lebron James Returning to Cleveland

It’s not too certain if Carmelo Anthony is staying in New York, however Lebron James is returning back to his home state to play with Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters and Kristan Thompson. Anthony is looking to test the waters in Chicago and in Los Angeles, looking to splash with Derrick Rose and Kobe Bryant. James is looking to add NBA titles with Cleveland as he returns home.

Jarrett Jack

After a year in Cleveland, the Cavs organization are giving him up to the Brooklyn Nets. Mentoring Kyrie Irving wasn’t good enough, so Cleveland has decided to move on. Jarrett Jack mentored Stephen Curry in Golden State before he came to join the Cavaliers and that wasn’t good enough either. So Jack is backing up Deron Williams in Brooklyn for a third point guard back-up experiment. Who knows what will become of the deal.

NBA Updates

Jason Kidd’s leaving Brooklyn was a sign of wear for them as he signed to coach the Milwaukee Bucks. Lionel Hollins was signed by the Brooklyn Nets afterwards later today. Ben Gordon reached a deal with the Orlando Magic as he will play for them. Andrew Wiggins has gone first in the 2014 NBA Draft as he will play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Marcin Gortat signed a five-year deal to stay with the Washington Wizards. Expect greater things from the Polish big man, Gortat, because he will help the Wizards contend after their surprise beating the Chicago Bulls in the playoffs this spring.
